Manifesto

We are not observers of the culture - we live inside it. Wotknotmag was established with a genuine love for the music, the silhouettes and the canvases moving three continents, and we publish that current as one quarterly record.

01 / ORIGIN

Born fromthe scene.

Jamz FR

Wotknot started the way most good things in the culture start - in the room. At listening sessions, in studios, backstage and at gallery openings, one question kept coming back: who is documenting this properly, from the inside?

"Nobody was tying it together. So we became the knot."

02 / THE COLLECTIVE

Made bythe makers.

Anthony Azekwoh

The collective is DJs, designers, painters, photographers and writers - the same people who appear on our covers. Every story is made with the scene, not about it, which is why the access is real and the portraits feel like family albums.

"The people we publish are part of our own orbit."

03 / THE MAGAZINE

Made tokeep.

Tricia Jane

We chose a quarterly rhythm over a daily feed. Each issue is edited, designed and printed to outlast the scroll - six voices per issue, photographed and interviewed in depth, from three centres of the culture.

"An issue is a time capsule, not a timeline."
